Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 12, 2026

Cargo Vans Load Board (“Cargo Vans”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit cargovansloadboard.com or use our load board and related tools (the “Service”), why we collect it, and how we use and protect it. By using the Service, you agree to this policy and to our Terms & Conditions.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you register we collect your full name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), phone number, state and city, your MC or DOT number if you provide it, and whether you are a carrier or a broker.

Sign in with Google. If you choose to sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address, profile picture and Google account ID with us.

Subscription and payment information. We keep your plan, billing interval, subscription status and billing history. Card details are entered with our payment processor, Stripe, and never stored on our servers; we receive only limited details such as the card brand, last four digits and expiry date.

Activity in the Service. Loads you post or view, offers you send or receive, support requests, notifications and your settings.

Messages you send us. When you use our contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, phone number (if given), subject and message.

Technical information. Like most websites, our servers record information your browser sends, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, the date and time and the referring page. We use it to run, secure and improve the Service, and may use it in aggregated form that doesn’t identify you.

It is always your choice whether to give us personal information, but some features, such as creating an account, don’t work without it.

2. How we use information

  • to create and run your account and provide the Service;
  • to match carriers with loads and let brokers receive offers;
  • to process payments and manage your subscription;
  • to send messages you need, such as password reset codes, account and billing notices, and load or offer notifications you have turned on;
  • to answer your questions and provide support;
  • to keep the Service secure and prevent fraud, abuse and misuse;
  • to understand how the Service is used so we can improve it;
  • to tell you about product updates and offers, you can unsubscribe from these at any time;
  • to meet our legal obligations.

3. How we share information

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t share it for targeted advertising. We share it only in these cases:

  • With other users, as part of the Service. For example, when you post a load or send an offer, the other party sees details such as your name, company, contact information and MC or DOT number.
  • With service providers who host the Service, store data, send email and process payments (such as Stripe). They get access only as needed to work for us and must keep it confidential.
  • With load-board networks, limited to what is needed, when you act on a load they supplied.
  • For legal reasons, when we believe in good faith it is needed to comply with the law or legal process, to protect the rights or property of Cargo Vans Load Board, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.
  • In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy or sale of assets, as part of that transaction.

4. Google user data

If you sign in with Google, we use your Google name, email address, profile picture and account ID only to create your account, sign you in and keep your profile up to date. We don’t ask for access to your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts or calendar.

We don’t sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or let people read it except with your permission, for security reasons or where the law requires. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. You can remove our access at any time from your Google Account permissions.

5. Cookies and local storage

We use only what the Service needs to work: your sign-in token is kept in your browser’s local storage (or session storage if you don’t choose “Remember me”), and a secure cookie is used to renew your session. We don’t use advertising cookies or third-party ad trackers. Our Cookie Policy has the details. If we ever add analytics, we will update this policy first.

6. How long we keep information

We keep your account information for as long as your account is open, and afterwards only as long as needed for billing, legal, tax and dispute purposes. Server logs are kept for a limited time for security. When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

7. Security

We use physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords and access controls, and you must sign in to reach your account. No method of sending data over the internet is 100% secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

Information you share with other users, for example in loads, offers or messages, can be seen and used by them. If there is a security breach that affects you, we may notify you by email, and you may have a legal right to written notice depending on where you live.

8. Your choices and rights

You can:

  • see and update most of your account information in your settings;
  • ask us for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it;
  • close your account;
  • unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in each email;
  • remove Google sign-in access from your Google Account.

Depending on where you live (for example California, Virginia or Colorado), you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. To make a request, email support@cargovansloadboard.com. We will verify your identity before acting on a request and will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

9. Children

12. Changes to this policy
